Thursday

You will never believe what happened to me today! Can you guess?! NO MATH HOMEWORK! I was so stunned I almost fell over! We had a man that was impersonating Dwight D. Eisenhower, or Ike. He did a really good job! The only homework is a sheet that we get Monday, then complete it by Friday.
On a different note (no pun intended), West Express will be posted tomorrow! I won't really be disappointed if I don't make it, but I will blog about it.Until then!

I've been waiting for this! Okay, so at http://www.reverendfun.com/ there are a bunch of hilarious comics (I just wanted to say that in case they copyrighted or something).  So I found one that I like and here it is! Plus one!
And because this is our first "Fun Wednesday" Here are some "Christian One Liners"

Philippians 1:20 ...I will in no way be ashamed...

 A report on "Skirt-y week": ( ;) thanks H!) At first I thought it would be tricky for me. Because I had worn a skirt the day before and gotten a few comments, I wondered what this  day would be like. As I was getting dressed, My eyes fell upon a pencil case that I had received as an early birthday present from the DeJong's (P.S. the lip gloss is amazing!). On the cover was "I will in No Way Be Ashamed. Philippians 1:20    ( and yes it has bright pink letters and a black background) Now, I know it is referring to being a Christian, but today it had  meaning for my personality too. I have now memorized that verse, and I repeated it throughout the stares, and the questioning remarks. And tomorrow, I am fully prepared, and equipped,to wear a skirt. :)

Monday...

Ahhh! We had West Express Choir tryouts this morning! I woke up at 6:00 and STILL didn't get all the practicing time I wanted. We probably won't know who made it until next Monday. If Kyra doesn't make it I will be very sad. (You are an amazing singer Kyra!)
On lighter notes, I think I will wear a skirt this whole week. ( and no NOT the SAME skirt!)Don't ask me why, I won't be able to tell you! ;) I would love some comments about what you think about it though! I think I know what Heather will say! ;) :D

Sunday

Okay, I am going to write about our scripture reading  today, and what it means to me. (now I'm not exactly a theologian or anything, so bear with me here!)
Today we read James 2. It was about not showing partiality to the rich or the poor. One of the verses was the base for an old T.V. show that I used to like. It's called McGee and me (look it up!) On this particular episode, McGee races for the best seat at the table, only to have it  taken away from him by someone with more money. As he looks around, he sees that the only spot left, is the end seat. I always felt bad for McGee ;). James 2 talks about "dividers" between the rich and the poor. I see that in school sometimes, and it really makes me sad.
James also talks about having faith, but no works. He says that having faith, but then not doing anything along with that faith makes something useless. "Even demons believe in one God," he says. This makes me want to do things along with my faith. Verse 26 is my favorite in that passage.
I hope you kinda get what I'm saying about this...

Okay, I kinda have a little layout for what I am going to Blog about:

Sunday-I will probably post a cute Christian comic, or review our sermon
Monday-You will probably either hear about how much homework I have (On a MONDAY!!) or something else along those lines.
Tuesday-
Wednesday- Fun day! (Thanks Aunt Eliza, for this idea!) I will put a little pick-me-up to get us through the rest of the week :)
Thursday-
Friday- This will most likely be what we will be doing on the weekends
Saturday-Close to what Friday is, weekend news

Tuesday and Thursday are just plain old blogging days


Also, I will be babysitting w/ Kyra tonight, it will be so fun! I can't wait to see you Kyra!

Wow!

Okay, this is really cool! I didn't expect Mom (Sarah) to let me do this! I might have to get used to having a blog, but this is going to be... well... WOW! This is a place for me to express myself, and glorify God through it. It is less private than a diary, but more private than a poster displaying all my emotions! ;) Oh wow, HERE I GO!
