Boys in Blue

This is a post to thank all the officers out there who have gave their lives, so we could live. Recently, two of our officers were killed in the line of duty. Another officer was shot but not mortally wounded. The  Rapid City Police Department would greatly appreciate it if you sent up a little prayer for us and our families. The whole community has been so kind during this difficult time. We have sold many T-shirts, bracelets, and blue ribbons, with most of the proceeds going to the families. My father had the privilege of giving the message at one of the funerals. He did an AMAZING job of comparing the Armor of God to a police officer's armor.

Officer McCandless

Officer Armstrong

Thank you for giving you lives, so we can be safe.

McCandless and Armstrong:
Always loved, never forgotten.

  1. Well said, Prae! What a great reminder to keep praying for the families, for the injured officer's full recovery, and for the many others in town who have been affected.

  3. Kyra, there are going to be things that are sad in your life, so you're going to have to get used to that. And yes, some people did come around to pick up the ribbons today. We are going to keep ours on our tre as long as we like though.
